Honoring Excellence in Gravure Since 1981
Cylinder Society Inductees – Class of 2019
The Gravure Cylinder Society is an honorary organization founded by the Gravure Technical Association and Gravure Research Institute in April, 1981. The Society honors those who have made great personal or professional contributions towards the industry as a whole, or to gravure-oriented associations such as the Gravure Association of the Americas and predecessors like the Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global, Gravure Association of America, Gravure Technical Association, and Gravure Research Institute.
It is with respect and appreciation that we salute the vision, dedication, a perseverance of these individuals. And, we thank them for playing a role in the growth of gravure from an accomplished and well-practiced craft to an international industry that today has connections to printing, publication, packaging, converting, materials, and equipment. The society also encourages the friendship and shared spirit of teamwork that develops among professionals in the industry, and leverages these relationships to create even more opportunities for the industry and those who work in it.
The Society nominates a number of industry leaders each year who exemplify these qualities, and new Society members are inducted at the GAA Annual meeting and given the distinctive GCS membership pin.
